The FEISOL CT-3441SB easily folds to a length of 43 cm, but achieves a maximum height of 184 cm thanks to an innovation in design that allows the legs to flip up 180 degrees over the 2-section telescopic center column. The FEISOL CT-3441SB continues our reputation for superior-design lightweight traveler tripods.
The CT-3441SB also features a larger twist-lock design that makes twisting and locking on much easier to accomplish, offering a unique innovation.
FEISOL’s premium CB-40D Ball Head is included with the CT-3441SB; it allows for free-flow camera movement of all axes of rotation from a single point. Along with the CB-40D, FEISOL’s QP-144750 Quick Release Plate is also included, allowing for speedy camera attachment or removal. The CT-3441SB still weighs little more than 1.61 kg with these added features.

This is a fantastic bit of kit thats very compact yet surprisingly strong.
I’ve been using this tripod for several years – bought shortly before I took a trip to iceland where my existing larger one wouldn’t fit in my luggage!
It was a brilliant buy, proving much lighter and more easy to move around in the rougher areas, yet still very stable for long exposures of waterfalls, or night photography of beautiful skies. In the years since, it’s become my main tripod traveling with me around my home city often, and small & light enough to take on holidays or hikes ‘just in case’ I wanted it!
The legs fold up sort of backward on the main column to get to the most compact (how it fits in the case), so it can be a bit slow to deploy if you use the supplied case all the time. Also many heads other than the supplied ball head are too big for this type of folding / the case, so when your moving from location to location or using a specialised head you’ll want to use a backpack or something to keep things easier. That said the provided case is very nice , and when folded to fit inside is incredibly small – especially given how tall the unit is when fully assembled!
I would recommend the optional short center column accessory as this gives a much lower possible height which is super useful, for barely any extra weight. There are also spikes available which I recently bought after knocking the tripod during a long timelapse (the one time the light weight nature isn’t so helpful ). In general however it has proven very stable, and a handy bag hook is provided to help add some extra weight in more windy situations!
If you want small and portable without sacrificing working height or stability this is definitely a good choice!
